VICTIMS [Hardcore | Sweden] 

To even the most pedestrian fan of d-beat hardcore/crust punk, VICTIMS is undeniably one of the genre’s kings, their name as synonymous with the genre as Anti-Cimex, Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade, From Ashes Rise, Disfear and the like. Through an exceptionally solid but not overcrowded discography since their 1997 inception, through labels like Havoc Records, Deathwish, Tankcrimes and more the band has yielded six LPs, and a variety of EPs, having shared platters on splits with the likes of From Ashes Rise, Kylesa, and Acursed. In the eighteen years that have passed since those early days of rehearsals in Nyköping, VICTIMS has toured internationally, heavily focused on Europe and the US extensively. Along the way they’ve experienced highs and lows, seen lineup changes and personal tragedy, they’ve been robbed in Italy and hospitalized in the USA. They’ve also played with a host of great bands, touring with the likes of Coliseum, Kylesa, Trash Talk, Rotten Sound, Trap Them, Municipal Waste, Black Breath, and countless others, and undoubtedly made some life-long friendships. Today, VICTIMS stands as one of the most respected bands of the underground punk and hardcore community.

SVALBARD [Blackened Hardcore | UK] 

Svalbard effortlessly combine elements of post-hardcore/crust/post-rock/black metal, bending and blending it into something entirely their own. This doesn’t mean this is a band that are difficult to understand, nor are they a sprawling, disjointed mess. Instead we are presented with a band that know exactly how to write incredible songs without ever compromising an astonishing scope of sound.
