Pevec Edguy Tobias Sammet pravkar končuje z več kot enoletnim ustvarjanjem epske metal opere. Projekt je poimenoval Avantasia. Pri tem pa so mu pomagali tudi Henjo Richter (Gamma Ray), Markus Grosskopf (Helloween), Andre Matos (Virgo, ex-Angra), David de Fies (Virgin Steele), Rob Rock (Warrior), Jens Ludwig (Edguy) in Alex Holzwarth (Rhapsody, Paradox). Novembra bo za pokušino izšel single, medtem ko bo album moč kupiti od januarja 2001 dalje. /M.P./

Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Pete Steele (Type O Negative), Henry Rollins, Billy Idol, Billy Corgan in Dave Grohl so sodelovali pri solo plošči kitarista Black Sabbath, Tony-ja Iommi-ja, ki bo izšla v začetku oktobra. Solo ploščo pa je posnel tudi bobnar začetnikov metala Bill Ward. /M.P./

Ameriška skupina Virgin steele pravkar končuje drugi del albuma The House Of Atreus. Prvi del je bil končan pred tedni. Po izdaji pa se bodo lotili operne verzije albuma Marriage Of Heaven And Hell, poleti pa jih bomo videli na festivalih v Evropi.

Skupina Riot bo imela skupaj z Anvil in Agent steel evropsko turnejo. Na turneji bo skupina predstavila nov album Sons Of Society. Po Wollandovih besedah naj bi se trojica ustavila tudi pri nas in to 30. januarja.
