Norveški dvojec Darkthrone je objavil videospot za komad Black Dawn Affiliation s prihajajočega albuma It Beckons Us All, ki ga bo 26. aprila izdal pri založbi Peaceville Records. Album obsega te naslove:

Založba Metal Blade bo danes izdala četrti studijski album nemških speed/thrash metalcev Vulture, ki nosi naslov Sentinels in mu lahko prisluhnete tukaj.

Ameriški death metal/hardcorovci Terminal Nation predstavljajo komad Merchants of Bloodshed, pri katerem je sodeloval vokalist Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage). Omenjeni komad je že drugi single z bandovega drugega albuma Echoes Of The Devil's Den, ki izide 3. maja pri založbi 20 Buck Spin.

Deathcorovci Chelsea Grin sporočajo, da je vrzel na bobnarskem stolčku zapolnil Josh Miller. Zasedba se je pred kratkim razšla z bobnarjem Pablom Viverosom in tako je nov polnopravni član zasedbe postal Josh. Izjava banda:

»We hope everyone has been doing well; we have some updates. We have parted ways with our fill-in drummer, Nathan Pearson. We sincerely value his friendship, as well as his devotion to furthering his craft and bringing his all to the stage. We truly look forward to watching his drumming career continue to blossom and advance, and value his time with us.

Furthermore, the band and Pablo have mutually agreed to separate. Pablo is one of our oldest friends, the life of the party, a masterful player, and a powerful creative. After Pablo spent some years away from the band, we all came together and realized that personal visions had diverged through time. We will always wish the very best for him, and seriously value all that he brought not only to the band, but to our lives. Nothing but tremendous love for him, always. We also encourage everyone to show support for him, Jaek and Alex’s new band, Ameonna.

Moving forward, we are proud and excited to announce that Josh Miller will be joining Chelsea Grin. It goes without saying that the future is bright – you will hear it in our music and witness it in our performances.

Ameriški alternativni metalci Edge Of Paradise sporočajo, da so podpisali z založbo Napalm Records. V ta namen je band izdal tudi video za nov single Rogue (Aim for the Kill).

Hrvaška stoner/doom/sludge metal zasedba A Gram Trip je napovedala EP z naslovom If We Leaf Tomorrow. Ta bo izšel 23. aprila in bo prinesel tri komade:

V sklopu turneje »25 years of Latin Metal« se bodo Ill Niño ustavili v Sloveniji in bližini. V družbi Ektomorf in Mind Incision se bodo 31. avgusta ustavili v Budimpešti (A38), dan kasneje v Ljubljani (Orto Bar), 3. septembra pa na Dunaju (Viper Room).

Deathcoraši Chelsea Grin so prekinili delovanje z uradnim bobnarjem Pablom Viverosom in tudi s t. i. live session bobnarjem Nathanom Pearsonom. Na mesto bobnarja prihaja Josh »Baby J« Miller (ex-Emmure, Spite, Darko), ki bo prevzel tako studijske kot koncertne dolžnosti.

Britanski kitarist, pevec in tekstopisec Billy Morrison, v zadnjih 15 letih znan predvsem kot ritem kitarist Billyja Idola, in njegov glavni kitarist Steve Stevens (ex-The Cult) ter princ teme Ozzy Osbourne so posneli videospot za pesem Crack Cocaine. Pri tem gre za drugi single (prvi je bil Drowning) prihajajočega heavy rock albuma The Morrison Project, ki bo izšel 19. aprila. Pri snemanju albuma so med drugim sodelovali še Billy Idol, DMC, Corey Taylor, Al Jourgensen, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Linda Perry, Tommy Clufetos in John5.

Avstralski progresivci Teramaze so napovedali enajsti album Eli: A Wonderful Fall From Grace. Ta je konceptualno nadaljevanje predhodnikov Her Halo (2015) in Sorella Minore (2021) in s tem tudi zaključek te trilogije. Tracklista:

Francoski brutal death metalci Benighted so posneli videospot za komad Metastasis. Gre za tretji single z desetega albuma Ekbom, ki ga bodo 12. aprila izdali pri založbi Season of Mist. Tracklista:

Italijanski black metalci Darkend so postali del seznama založbe Time To Kill Records. Band bo pri založbi tako še letos izdal peti album z naslovom Viaticum. Točen datum izida še ni znan.

Nekaj dni po zaključku letošnje edicije festivala Inferno Metal Festival so organizatorji sporočili, da so že na voljo »early bird« vstopnice za naslednje leto. Znan je tudi že datum festivala, ki se bo naslednje leto odvijal med 17. in 20. aprilom v Oslu.
