Preko spletne strani Doomed Nation lahko v celoti premierno prisluhnete prihajajočemu samonaslovljenemu prvencu kanadskega blackened sludge/doom metal one-man banda Discarded Self, ki bo izšel 30. aprila pri založbi Sarcophagus Recordings.

Discarded Self je solo projekt kanadskega kitarista, vokalista in basista Jarreta Beacha (Destroy My Brains, Ashes Of Yggdrasil), ustvarjen v času osebne izolacije med pandemijo. Album prinaša osem grozljivih zgodb, v katerih se avtor podaja na introspektivna potovanja v gnus do samega sebe in osebno degradacijo, ki še poglabljajo strašne spomine na preteklost in se utapljajo v osebnem obžalovanju. Tu ni upanja za prihodnost! Pri snemaju so sodelovali štirje različni bobnarji, tudi iz njegovih matičnih zasedb, kot bonus skladba pa je ploščku dodana še priredba ameriških sludge/doom ekstremistov Fistula z naslovom Upside Down.

Nemška tradicionalna epic doom metal zasedba Fvneral Fvkk, v kateri sodelujejo tudi člani Ophis, Crimson Swan in Fäulnis, je nedavno pri založbi Solitude Productions izdala dolgo pričakovan debitantski album Carnal Confessions, ki mu lahko v celoti prisluhnete na tej povezavi.
