Ameriški veterani heavy metala Armored Saint so se lotili prav posebnega projekta. Priredili so namreč skladbo One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison), ki jo je v originalu izvajala zasedba People in je nastala leta 1970. Kako komad zveni v metal preobleki, pa lahko preverite tudi v novem videospotu.

Grindcorovci Nails bodo avgusta po osmih letih izdali nov album Every Bridge Burning. Ta bo 30. avgusta izšel pri Nuclear Blast, seznam komadov pa je tak:

Angleški stoner doomerji Alunah so podpisali za založbo Heavy Psych Sounds, pri kateri bodo izdali sedmi studijski dolgometražec, ki bo nasledil Strange Machine iz leta 2022. Več Informacij sledi.

Nastala je nova heavy metal superskupina Category 7, ki jo sestavljajo vokalist John Bush (Armored Saint, Anthrax), kitarista Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Sonic Universe, Noturnall) in Phil Demmel (Machine Head, Kerry King, Vio-Lence), baskitarist Jack Gibson (Exodus) ter bobnar Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill). Zasedba ustvarja mešanico NWOBHM-ja, thrasha, punk-metala in tradicionalnega metala, njen prvi single pa sliši na ime Exhausted, ki ga lahko preverite spodaj.

Več kot leto dni so Švicarji Eluveitie potrebovali, da so našli zamenjavo za violinistko Nicole Ansperger, ki je band lani zapustila zaradi osebnih razlogov. Iskanja torej ni več, saj je nova violinistka postala Lea-Sophie Fischer.

»Hey everybody – we’re excited to finally lift the curtain! Ever since Nicole Ansperger decided to step short and leave Eluveitie for personal reasons and to shift her focus, more than a year ago, it obviously wasn't an easy task to find somebody to fill that gap.

And so we are really happy and thankful to finally announce Lea-Sophie Fischer as Eluveitie's new violinist! Please welcome her to the Elu family! Some of us have been friends with Sophie for many years already and over time our musical paths crossed quite a few times. After Nicole's departure Sophie helped us out on the stages of the festivals and open airs. And of course we were as glad as we were proud to get support from such an incredible musician. While we grew together as a group, things became very clear and the time's just the right one to join forces for good!«

Power metal veterani Brainstorm se oglašajo iz studia, kjer pripravljajo material za 14. studijski album, ki bo nasledil leta 2021 izdani plošček Wall of Skulls.

Danska black metal zasedba Solbrud je po 15 letih delovanja in štirih albumih prenehala delovati. Vzrok naj bi bil pomanjkanje motivacije, spodaj pa lahko preberete izjavo banda v celoti.

»Time for some sad news everyone: We have decided to end all activities with Solbrud and are disbanding now. Sorry to disappoint you all but it's the end of the road for us.

The reasons are many - in short we just can't really find the spirit and motivation required to keep this ship running the way it's supposed to. Until recently we had big plans for an upcoming album with David showing the rest of the world what a good match he was with Solbrud. But eventually we couldn’t find the energy to go through with it. We know that David at the moment is working on a solo project and hope y’all will give it a spin when it comes out.

"Alas, there will be no more touring, shows or farewell concerts this time around. We are hosting a big sale at our bandcamp shop to clear out our storage - Come make a good deal while the stock still lasts.

Solbrud has been a 15-year long journey with many profound experiences, highs and lows for us all. Can't really think of anything we would trade it for. Ameriška progressive/alternative rock zasedba Nothing More je objavila video za skladbo House on Sand. Gost na vokalih je Eric V. iz I Prevail.

Deftones se po nekaj letih zatišja vračajo na sceno z novim albumom. Kot je v intervjuju za radijsko postajo KROQ povedal vokalist Chino Moreno, je instrumentalni del albuma že posnet, zdaj je potreben le še njegov vložek na vokalih. To bo nova izdaja banda po letu 2020, ko je izšel album Ohms. Kdaj točno bo izšel novi plošček zasedbe, pa za zdaj še ni znano.
