Marca smo že poročali, da se death metal simfoniki Fleshgod Apocalypse vračajo z novim singlom Pendulum. Zdaj pa je band razkril, da bodo 23. avgusta pri Nuclear Blast izdali nov album Opera. Ta bo zajemal te komade:

Postojnski crossover/thrash metalci Skytower predstavljajo prvi single po 20 letih, Rain Man, ki so ga objavili skupaj s spodnjim videospotom.

Prekaljeni mački se vračajo tudi na odre. V živo jih lahko ujamete že čez slab mesec na festivalu Metaljot Raspaljot v Laškem, kjer si bodo Postojnčani 5. julija delili oder s Slugpit, Kaoz, Dekadent, Bombarder, 1914, Pestilence in Rotting Christ.

Islandci Sólstafir so pred kratkim podpisali sodelovanje z založbo Century Media Records. Predstavljajo tudi novo skladbo Hin Helga Kvöl, ki so jo oplemenitili z videospotom.

Ameriški veterani heavy metala Armored Saint so se lotili prav posebnega projekta. Priredili so namreč skladbo One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison), ki jo je v originalu izvajala zasedba People in je nastala leta 1970. Kako komad zveni v metal preobleki, pa lahko preverite tudi v novem videospotu.

Death metal zasedbi Disentomb in Stillbirth si bosta avgusta delili oder, in sicer na skupni evropski turneji z imenom Slamocalypse 2024. Turneja se bo začela 9. avgusta v nemškem mestu Schlotheim in se zaključila 22. avgusta prav tako v Nemčiji, in sicer v mestu Andernach. Nam najbliže se bo karavana ustavila 19. avgusta na Dunaju.

Nizozemski enočlanski atmosferični black metal projekt Wurgilnõ je razkril single De Pest, ki je del prihajajočega albuma Krijtland, ki izide jutri pri Fetzner Death Records.

Več kot leto dni so Švicarji Eluveitie potrebovali, da so našli zamenjavo za violinistko Nicole Ansperger, ki je band lani zapustila zaradi osebnih razlogov. Iskanja torej ni več, saj je nova violinistka postala Lea-Sophie Fischer.

»Hey everybody – we’re excited to finally lift the curtain! Ever since Nicole Ansperger decided to step short and leave Eluveitie for personal reasons and to shift her focus, more than a year ago, it obviously wasn't an easy task to find somebody to fill that gap.

And so we are really happy and thankful to finally announce Lea-Sophie Fischer as Eluveitie's new violinist! Please welcome her to the Elu family! Some of us have been friends with Sophie for many years already and over time our musical paths crossed quite a few times. Ameriško žensko hard rock zasedbo Vixen je zapustila vokalistka Lorraine Lewis. Zamenjava trenutno še ni znana.

Švedi Stillborn so objavili videospot za novi single Katharsis.

Včeraj smo z vami delili vest, da je letošnji Kramp Fest zaradi slabe vremenske napovedi odpovedan, danes pa delimo še eno bolj spodbudno.

Ekipa kluba Jalla Jalla na Metelkovi je poskusila iz nastale situacije narediti najboljše in bo zato gostila dve zasedbi, ki bi morali sicer nastopiti na odpovedanem festivalu v Godoviču – cerkniški hardcore/punk band The Kripless in brazilsko aracho post/punk zasedbo Água. Ameriški death metalci Noxis so posneli videospot za pesem Emanations of the Sick s prihajajočega albuma Violence Inherent in the System, ki bo izšel 28. junija pri Rotted Life Records. Tracklista:

Trelldom, kultna norveška black metal zasedba, ki je letos vstala od mrtvih in bo tudi prvič nastopila v živo, je sklenila dogovor o izdaji več dolgometražcev z založbo Prophecy Productions. Prav tako je band okoli kontroverznega frontmana Gaahla (Kristian Eivind Espedal) naznanil, da bo že konec letošnjega leta izšel četrti album, ki bo nasledil zadnjo izdajo Till minne... iz leta 2007.

»It is important to find the right collaboration partners as well as someone who respects and partly understands what we want to convey at all times, which Martin and the people in his company do – art must always come first! Therefore as Trelldom we are very much looking forward to continuing our journey with Prophecy Productions.«

Danska black metal zasedba Solbrud je po 15 letih delovanja in štirih albumih prenehala delovati. Vzrok naj bi bil pomanjkanje motivacije, spodaj pa lahko preberete izjavo banda v celoti.

»Time for some sad news everyone: We have decided to end all activities with Solbrud and are disbanding now. Sorry to disappoint you all but it's the end of the road for us.

The reasons are many - in short we just can't really find the spirit and motivation required to keep this ship running the way it's supposed to. Until recently we had big plans for an upcoming album with David showing the rest of the world what a good match he was with Solbrud. But eventually we couldn’t find the energy to go through with it. We know that David at the moment is working on a solo project and hope y’all will give it a spin when it comes out.

"Alas, there will be no more touring, shows or farewell concerts this time around. We are hosting a big sale at our bandcamp shop to clear out our storage - Come make a good deal while the stock still lasts.

Lawrence Mackrory je zapustil zasedbo Darkane. Mackrory je bil na mestu vokalista zasedbe med letoma 1998 in 1999 ter znova od leta 2011 dalje. Kot razlog odhoda najavlja predvsem izgubo strasti in predanosti bandu.
