Ameriški melodični death metal duet Dawn Of Existence sporoča, da je podpisal pogodbo o sodelovanju z Black Lion Records. Založba bo tako jeseni znova izdala bandov prvenec Ancient Arts. Izjavo banda lahko preberete spodaj:

Finski kitarski virtuoz Timo Tolkki napoveduje izid petega studijskega albuma z naslovom Classical Variations And Themes 2​:​Ultima Thule. Album naj bi v digitalni obliki izšel 1. septembra, na fizičnih nosilcih zvoka pa en mesec kasneje, torej 1. oktobra. Že zdaj pa lahko preverite, kako bo zvenela nova mojstrovina Finca, in prisluhnete singlu Ultima Thule.

Švicarski folk metal veljaki Eluveitie se po šestih letih znova vračajo v Ljubljano. 11. februarja naslednje leto bodo tako zavzeli ljubljanski Kino Šiška, z njimi pa bodo znova razgrajali Infected Rain, novinci v paketu pa so Ad Infinitum. Predprodaja vstopnic se začne 7. junija.

Finski metal čelisti Apocalyptica pred izidom albuma Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2., predstavljajo še četrti single. Tokrat gre za legendarni instrumentalni komad The Call of Ktulu z druge plošče Ride the Lightning. S tem komadom so se Finci poklonili tudi preminulemu basistu Cliffu Burtonu, saj so v izvedbi komada uporabili originalne bas linije, ki jih je na Ride the Lightning odigral Cliff.

Nemški thrasherji Extinct so posneli videospot za naslovni komad letošnjega albuma Incitement of Violence.

Organizatorji letošnje edicije festivala Heretic Feast sporočajo, da se ta iz Kutine seli v Zagreb, natančneje v klub Boogaloo, kjer se bo 21. in 22. junija odvijal festival ekstremne glasbe. Poleg menjave lokacije pa je znan tudi razpored zasedb po dnevih:

Več kot leto dni so Švicarji Eluveitie potrebovali, da so našli zamenjavo za violinistko Nicole Ansperger, ki je band lani zapustila zaradi osebnih razlogov. Iskanja torej ni več, saj je nova violinistka postala Lea-Sophie Fischer.

»Hey everybody – we’re excited to finally lift the curtain! Ever since Nicole Ansperger decided to step short and leave Eluveitie for personal reasons and to shift her focus, more than a year ago, it obviously wasn't an easy task to find somebody to fill that gap.

And so we are really happy and thankful to finally announce Lea-Sophie Fischer as Eluveitie's new violinist! Please welcome her to the Elu family! Some of us have been friends with Sophie for many years already and over time our musical paths crossed quite a few times. After Nicole's departure Sophie helped us out on the stages of the festivals and open airs. And of course we were as glad as we were proud to get support from such an incredible musician. While we grew together as a group, things became very clear and the time's just the right one to join forces for good!«
